Manufacturing company require a long term temporary administrator to work in this busy sales office.
This is a 9 to 10 month booking which could develop in to a permanent role. This friendly and buzzing office are really looking for a candidate who takes total ownership of the tasks they take on. This may involve chasing up other staff members for required information, dealing with day to day emails, following up on quotes and generally making sure that everything that needs to be done is done. One of the prime duties will involve putting together very involved quotations which may take several days to put together. As many of the clients are in the Defence industry this requires a large amount of very specific detail, therefore attention to detail is paramount.
Primary Responsibilities
Proactively promote and improve customer satisfaction by maintaining regular contact with and cultivating good relationships with designated customers.

Communicate customer needs to relevant departments within the company. Pursue customer complaints through the internal reporting system, ensuring these are dealt with and concluded in a timely manner.

Work with and support the managers in responding to enquiries from customers regarding technical and commercial issues and ensure that appropriate and timely response are achieved in line with stated service level agreements.

Maximise profitability through the timely accurate preparation and submission of successful quotations through the Bid / No Bid process.

Investigate customer queries (both technical and commercial) through liaison with relevant support personnel as appropriate in order to make recommendations to the managers on proposed solutions.

Ensure that any queries relating to sales orders, including delivery time, are dealt with promptly and correctly.

Undertake visits to customer sites and assist in the hosting of customer visits

Recognise business development opportunities within assigned accounts and recommend possible win strategy.

Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory

Co-ordinate repairs with customers and operations

Assist with or undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

Qualifications, Education & Previous Experience Requirements
Minimum of five GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above, including English and Maths.
High standard of computer literacy with expert knowledge of Outlook/MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Excellent communication skills both oral and written at all levels of the organisation
High level of customer service skills with a proven track record in a sales or commercial role.
A self starter with the initiative to make things happen
Self-motivated, well organised and pro-active task management
A team player with a desire to provide 'best in class' administrative support
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to consistently deliver to agreed milestones, occasionally working additional hours to meet a deadline or provide urgent support
A second language would be an advantage
Work Hours
37 Hours (Full Time): 8.15 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. Monday to Thursday with 45 minutes for lunch and 8.15 a.m. to 1.15 p.m. on Friday.
