This company work in setting up and running of exhibitions through out the UK and Europe. The role of the Operational Assistant would be to help coordinate and plan these events and will include extensive customer contact by telephone and in person.

Duties will include
e-mail potential clients, Create exhibition job files, Maintain contact with old and new clients
Keep all master exhibition files up to date
Invoicing and accruals
Attend events (when necessary) in the UK and Europe

Make up exhibition files, write and e-mail exhibitors, follow up with telephone calls, and eventually after quotation, create job file in Datafreight system, and subsequently invoice file. Ensure costs are accrued in Datafreight system
To help established customer base ensure that the company ship their exhibition stands to various (by air /sea, or road) to worldwide events
Send out promotional letters to UK based exhibitors, follow up with e-mails and telesales, and eventually create job files when customers confirm booking.
Ensure all invoicing is carried out in accordance with the company's monthly application (Datafreight) and accrue costs against relevant job or master file.
The assistant must be willing and able to travel, unaccompanied, to various UK and European destinations at short notice


The successful applicant will….

Help in administration of the department, and work as a member of a small but busy team, committed to growing an important section of the Group
Maintain and keep up to date current job files, and updating events on website on a monthly basis
Send detailed information to all UK and overseas based exhibitors and clients attending various events worldwide, (by all necessary means)
Work on development of the company's services and help to increase the market share by promoting our services and developing new clients through mailing, and telesales.
Contact exhibitors by telephone or e-mail, as well as attending various events to promote the company.
After internal training is complete, the applicant must be prepared to work independently and in conjunction with training given, work for the benefit of the company and its customers.
The selected applicant must be prepared to work long hours when requested and occasionally be away for several days at any time, this may include weekends.

A full driving licence would be an advantage, as would being competent in one or more of the following language's (Spanish, German, French)
