Customer services position - Near Chiswick / Kew


Salary:
£21k - £25k per annum dependant on experience
Hours:
8:30 am 5:00 pm Mon Fri

Holidays:
28 days holiday per year including bank holidays, increasing with service.

Job Description:

  • Answering incoming calls & dealing with existing customers' queries
  • Building relationships with new & existing clients
  • Managing specific named accounts
  • Pro-actively tracking and monitoring of shipments in transit
  • Dealing with transit issues, resolving issues on our customer's behalf.


You will be responsible for managing customer relationships, taking ownership of and following through on 'exceptions' until their conclusion. The job is essentially about problem solving, deciding on the best course of action to resolve each problem or delay as quickly as possible, whilst keeping all parties informed. This role is not about taking 300 calls a day; it's instead focused on pro-actively tracking, monitoring and resolving delays on our customer's behalf, so the phone does not ring in the first place!

This is an exciting and challenging position, the successful candidate will relish the large amount of responsibility placed with them. They will be responsible for managing their assigned customers and building strong working relationship with both customers and suppliers. The successful candidate will enjoy the challenge of working to deadlines, in a sometimes demanding environment, that forces you to multi-task.

Applicant criteria:

  • Proficient in office programs with a good typing speed (Must type with all fingers!)
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Goods levels of diplomacy, when dealing with customer queries.
  • Must be organised and able to work off own initiative.


We are looking for an outgoing, bubbly, enthusiastic and well spoken person (with excellent telephone skills), who can work in a (at times) pressured environment. Organisational skills, prioritising workloads, multi-tasking and attention to detail are essential.
